A Visit to My Grandfather
I have a very special memory of my grandfather. When I was in Grade One, I took the train to visit him in a small town in the north of China. It was the first time I had been away from home and it was a very exciting journey.
The train ride was quite long and I was very excited to finally reach my destination. When I stepped off the train, I saw my grandfather waiting for me with a big smile on his face. He was so happy to see me that we hugged for a long time.
My grandfather was a very kind and patient man. He took me around the town and showed me all the places he liked to visit. He taught me about the history of the town and how it had changed over the years. He also showed me how to play Chinese chess and checkers, two of his favorite games.
During my visit, I also got to visit the local market and taste some of the local dishes. I was amazed by the variety of food available.
The time I spent with my grandfather was truly special. He taught me so much about life and the importance of family. I will never forget the wonderful memories of my visit to his small town.
